Entertainment Industry Workshop

This workshop is an introduction to the many facets of the
entertainment industry that will help students discover
what gifts and talents they have. Creative EJ will provide
opportunities to further develop gifts and talents in the
entertainment industry. Professionals that have worked for
many years in the entertainment business including
Broadway, TV, commercials, print and runway modeling will
share their experience.
Intro to Show Biz
Learn from professionals that have WORKED in
the industry! Discover what it takes to work in the
Entertainment Industry. This 60-minute workshop will
provide an overview of all aspects of the industry
including theater, musical theater, TV, film, commercial,
print and modeling. Two industry professionals, Diamelen
Partridge and Annette Calud, will host the workshop.
Diamelen got her start as a professional dancer and
international runway and print model. She has worked with
industry giants such as Dick Clark and Merv Griffin.
Diamelen also has extensive experience as a fashion show
choreography, director and pageant coach. She has worked
closely with Ford Models and Abrahms Artists agencies. In
addition to appearing on television as a spokesperson and
host, she is also a much sought after creative stylist,
make up artist, talent coach, event hostess and
spokesperson.
Annette got her start in the entertainment industry singing
and dancing at Marriott’s Great America, Walt Disney World
and EPCOT Center. She worked as a professional actor in
Chicago in theater productions before making her Broadway
debut in New York as an original cast member of the show
“Miss Saigon”. Soon she moved into the title role of “Kim”.
Annette is also a former cast member of the children’s
television show “Sesame Street” portraying the role of
“Celina the Dance Teacher” She also has worked in print,
industrials and national commercials.

Cost: $25 Age: 10 to 17 years old
Dress in comfortable shoes and loose clothing. Be prepared
to do physical movement to warm up. Bring a notebook and
something to write with. Workshop participants will get a
taste of each facet in the entertainment industry.
